Astro has added a new machine to our shop- now that’s a secret we can’t keep quite about.

We just expanded our machine capabilities by adding the Trumpf TruMatic 1000. This machine serves as a punch and laser combo. Accelerating our precision and efficiency during production.

1. Hole Size Rule: A hole should never be smaller than the material thickness. Smaller holes increase the risk of tool damage and poor part quality. 
2. Webbing Rule: The web (or space) between holes should not be smaller than the material thickness. Too little spacing can cause twisting, warping, or distortion. 

Following these guidelines ensures consistent results, flat parts, and efficient production—key elements of successful custom metal fabrication.
