Project Manager, Architectural Metals
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects involving architectural metals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and extensive experience with metal fabrication and installation processes. This role requires close collaboration with clients, drafters, procurement, and production teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Your Work Activities (include but not limited to)
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Manage all phases of architectural metal projects, including design, fabrication, and installation.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and vendors.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns and resolving issues proactively.
- Facilitate meetings to align project goals with stakeholders’ expectations.
- Team Coordination:
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure constructability and feasibility of designs.
- Work closely with fabricators, installers, and subcontractors to coordinate timelines and deliverables.
- Conduct site visits to resolve field issues as they arise.
- Budget & Cost Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Review and approve vendor quotes, material orders, and subcontractor bids.
- Track and report on project costs, identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures.
- Quality Control & Risk Management:
- Oversee quality assurance processes during fabrication and installation.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure proper documentation of all changes, approvals, and inspections.
Experience We Require You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in project management, specifically in architectural metals, metal fabrication, or a related industry.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of metal materials, finishes, and fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Excel, Trello, Procore, or equivalent software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with CAD software or other design tools.

Hours: Monday – Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm (flexible to 7:00am-3:30 OR 4 10’s Schedule) 40/week
Pay: $90,000 – $110,000

Experienced Fabricator/Welder
We’re looking for an experienced Welder & Fabricator with five to ten years of hands-on expertise in precision welding, custom metal fabrication, and structural assembly. Proven ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to execute high-quality builds across diverse materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless. Adept in MIG and TIG welding processes, with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Known for problem-solving on the shop floor and collaborating effectively with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.

At Astro, specialize in providing metal fabrications for our architectural and industrial equipment clients. Our on-site Certified welding capabilities include Vectis UR-10E Cobot Welding System, Fronius TPS MIG and Miller Dynasty TIG Machines in addition to CWIs on staff with a team of skilled welders. This role is focused on custom metal fabrication—not high-volume production. You will see a wide variety of work over several industries!
Your Work Activities (include but not limited to)
- Custom Welder/Fabricator
- MIG and TIG on Mild Steel, Stainless steel, and Aluminum
- Layout according to shop prints
- Must be able to read weld symbols
- Grinding and weld finishing
- Operate other fabrication equipment such as press brake, shear, saw, machining center, sanders, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Experience We Require You Have:
- Candidate will need to complete a weld test by assembling mild steel sheet metal components according to a print.
- Welding certification or equivalent experience desired
- Pay range is DOQ

CNC Machinist
CNC Machinist capable of operating a variety of machinery. You must be familiar with CNC vertical machining center. Other machining experience preferred, such as CNC lathe, and manual machining operations. Job will include operation of other equipment, sawing, strait line sanders, tube bender, and various other fabrication activities associated with a metal fabrication job shop.
Your Work Activities (include but not limited to)
- Program, Set up and operation of HAAS vertical machining centers
- Operate CNC lathe
- Operate vertical tilt frame saw
- Manual machining
- Operating other CNC equipment such as lasers, punch and press brake
- Move or lift heavy objects
- Use hand or power tools, (hand grinder for de-burring)
- Read prints, and use precision measuring tools to verify conformance to specifications
- Operate forklift to move material, parts, or equipment
- Plan and organize work in collaborate teamwork environment with other departments on daily basis such as Project Managers, Estimating and Engineering.
Work Context
Requires standing and moving around throughout entire shift. Requires lifting up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally. Requires paying attention to what is going on with the parts and machinery. Requires being exact or highly accurate; may run several machines at one time. Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment including steel toed boots/shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
Experience We Require You Have:
- Operation of vertical machining center
- Leadership experience is helpful but not required
- Quality-driven individual
- Experience with HAAS VF-11, sawing operations, lasers (tube, sheet)
- Mechanically inclined
