Custom Industrial Machine Frames

Production of custom industrial machine frames have increased dramatically here at Astro Metal Craft & Manufacturing. As a result, we’ve added a “frames” page to offer more and complete details and photographs. We build top quality frames for OEM’s in a variety of industries. These frames go into food processing equipment, water treatment equipment, automatic bagging machines, testing apparatus, material handling equipment, trusses, amusement park rides, and more!

Furthermore, to accommodate our increased frame production and free up more floor space, we purchased a new vertical, upright, automatic mitering bandsaw. This CNC-controlled bandsaw produces parts more accurately and faster for the welders to achieve faster fit-up. As a result, this helps to reduce lead time with frames and especially those requiring mitered cuts.

Types of Custom Industrial Machine Frames

We work mainly with carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum for these frames. With that, we can administer measurements from table size to (approximately) 45’L X 20’W X 15’H. Common shapes comprise of solid bar, square, rectangular, and round tubing. Most noteworthy, all weldments are fabricated by our experienced,  skilled welders who handles the machining, laser cutting, and forming right in our shop. We fabricate to your custom specifications and quality requirements.

While most of the machine frames we build are for OEM’s, the picture (to the right) shows a frame we designed and built for a client who needed a frame along with a hopper and auger to unload Super-Sacks. This frame is custom designed and built with an adjustment feature to be able to accommodate various size sacks.

Upon fruition of the product, the frame gets sent out to get a surface coating. However, rest assured! We have principal vendors we trust that provide excellence in blasting, painting and/or powder coatings for the final phase. Of course, it’s pure bliss to see a concept come to life!
